Descripción
The proliferation of vector-borne diseases in crops has led to significant economic losses. Certain agricultural management practices, including grafting and pruning, can facilitate the spread of these diseases among crops. Among various vector-control mitigation strategies, biological control is a primary approach. This study introduces a mathematical SEIR-type model that employs impulsive differential equations to characterize disease dynamics in crop and vector populations. The model incorporates three transmission routes: grafting, pruning, and vector-mediated transmission. Grafting, pruning, and biological vector control are modeled as discrete events occurring at specific time points. Additionally, the model accounts for the influence of human risk perception on the implementation of agricultural management strategies.
